Dr. Kendra Watkins joined Belle Meade Animal Hospital in 2008 and enjoys practicing small animal medicine, dentistry, and surgery. Dr. Watkins attended the University of Missouri for her animal science (2002) and veterinary (2006) degrees.
Dr. Watkins has a special interest in dentistry, soft tissue surgery, small animal weight evaluation and management (especially Corgis!), preventative medicine, and the human-animal bond. In response to the opioid abuse crisis in the Southeast, she has served on the Animal Medical Diversion Advisory Committee since 2021.
A native of Springfield, IL, she has resided in the Nashville area since 2006 with her husband and three children. During her spare time, she enjoys travel, website design, and mentoring students as they explore careers in veterinary medicine and science.
